Hospitals CANNOT refuse you treatment in the case of an emergency. They will treat you and send you a bill (probably be in the mail before you get home...ha ha). They do have financial programs which can cut the bill in half or totally erase it depending on qualifications.

They will simply charge you and create an account. This could get very expensive. Most hospitals have aid and assist those who cannot afford health care. Sometimes, they will need to see proof of income and assess how much you will need to pay and how much they are willing to pay. If you do not qualify for the assistance, you can set up a payment plan. You will pay a set amount every month. If you can, check to see if they have an program to assist you.

well it depends on the hospital you go too...If you come to one like I work at, they will make arrangements for you to either pay , or get service free, it depends on your income. My son broke his ankle while away and went to the hospital, and they are trying to get the full amount from him..By the way he is a minor, but they say because he signed himself in, he is responsible and not his father. soooooooo like I said..it depends on where you go and what there policy is...good luck..and remember if it is broke..you have to have it checked out regardless of the cost...good luck to you..

They will still treat you. And depending on your financial status, there are programs available that can assist you with the bills.
