Great movies about drugs would include "The Basketball Diaries" starring leonardo Decaprio, based on real life events of poet/musician Jim Carroll who struggled with heroin addiction and how it messed up his basketball career(he could have had), but he did overcome his addiction and still writes and plays music, also dealing with drugs is a movie called "Pulp Fiction" which is a classic starring Uma Thurman and John Travolta. Movies that deal with depression that are good are "Girl,Interrupted" starring Wynona Ryder and Angelina Jolie about a real life woman who is an author who was put into an institution in the sixties, when she tried to commit suicide. There are also some eating disorder issues in this movie with girls who are in the institution. Suicide movies to watch would include "An Officer and a gentleman" starring Richard Gere and Debra Winger. Also, "Monster's Ball" with Halle Berry and Billy Bob Thornton.

Requiem for a Dream is the only one I can think of with all of those things in it.
Leaving Las Vegas is an absolutely naked depiction of suicide, alcoholism, depression. I suppose you could say it has an eating disorder issue in it also because Cage is too sick to eat anything more than a little rice.

I know alot of people that think Reqium for a Dream as one of the best depictions of life while on drugs but I really didnt like it much. Also another one most people like is Natural Born Killers.
