You can provide information, that is untrue, within the context of a question. That is, statements within a question could be untrue. For example:

What did President Tom Hanks say after returning from a space mission, to calm Americans who were upset over new evidence proving the moon to be made of cheese.

Other questions could be in the form of false accusations, for example: Why did you cancel the dinner reservations? (when you in fact, did not cancel any reservations).

Absolutely. Oddly enough, it was in a support group. The president seemed decent enough up until then, but at the end of one evening called for a vote as to where to hold our weekend retreat, since we couldn't have it on the weekend we had planned and the retreat center we usually used wasn't available for the following weekend. So the vote was taken, and he hid behind that vote as justifying the retreat on that weekend at that place.

Truth: He was a controlling person, and the only reason we "couldn't" have it on the planned weekend was because he was working. He couldn't attend, so he switched it to the next weekend. That WAS NOT put to a vote. It was simply stated.

When a few of us figured out what had been done (I never attended that retreat because I was so pissed off) he was confronted in a meeting. He hid behind, "That's what we voted on." But as soon as I stated that there was no real reason to switch weekends, others started to wonder. He still hid behind the vote. Since the other two people in the know wouldn't step up and back me, I left the group.
