Is Wakeland a good name for a band?

We play some pop/indie/rock. Oh, and we do some Christian music. We decided to call our band Wakeland because our songs are about waking up, facing the facts, and being optimistic about it all. It's not exactly a band either. I could play the violin and piano, and my friend could play the bass guitar, the acoustic guitar, and the drums, so we formed a duo. When we need more musicians, we simply ask a few other people to help out with a song. We might add a third member to form a band somewhere down the road, but we don't know.

Step 1: form a band before naming it.
Step 2: Wakeland is already a name of a band. sorry. Very small scale band, but still out there. They're not very good but w/e. Eitherway. Using your name to summerize ur music isnt a good move. Why not call it Happymusicband or something like that...Masters of Abortion. call ur band that

Wakeland is a good name. Look at how funny other band names are. Fall Out Boy or the Killers aren't very good names.

In case you haven't noticed, there really aren't that many good band names out there that haven't been taken, and there a lot of good bands with stupid names.

That said, Wakeland has a nice ring to it, especially for the genre. Best of luck with it.

The name goes good with your type of music. But you may want to get more members to be viewed as being an actual band.

As long as you like the name, that's all that matters. I mean I'll bet when AC/DC first started people probablt thought that the name was stupid and look where they are now. The same thing goes for Buckcherry!!!!!
