Sri Chakra(m) is an Yantra used by Hindus for worship of Devi. The persons having a srichakra are supposed to clean in all respects and it is believed that Goddess is invoked in it. It is believed this form of worship in Hindu religion is very good for everything. Now what is yantra -

Yantra literally means loom, instrument or machine. In actual practice, a yantra is a symbolic representation of aspects of divinity, usually the Mother Goddess or Durga. It is an interlocking matrix of geometric figures, circles, triangles and floral patterns that form fractal patterns of elegance and beauty. Though drawn in two dimensions, a yantra is supposed to represent a three dimensional sacred object. Three-dimensional yantras are now becoming increasingly common. Although the yantra is primarily a meditation tool both for serious spiritual seekers as well as sculptors in the classical tradition, its shakti is also available to new seekers with sincere devotion and good intention.

It is believed that mystical yantras reveal the inner basis of forms and shapes abounding in the universe. Yantras function as revelatory symbols of cosmic truths.

Sri Chakram is a Yantra based on the slokas from Devi Puran. Adi Shankaracharya in his 'Saundarya Lahari' slokas 22 and 32 has described significance of the Premordial Mother whose conversion from Sound particles into Light particles leads us to the Sri Chakram or Sri Yantram.

You can worship it at home by uttering one of those two mantras or any one of them. Invocation energises the deity in the Yantra. The Yantra drawn on copper plate is readily available. These days you have six dimensional Yantras made in Sphatika or natural crystal which has more divine effect based on science.
