My dad remarried 2 years ago and I have a stepsister. Since then
my stepsister, my stepmom and my period have all like synchronized and we get them at almost the same time. My grandma said she heard it is something about the moon, the lunar cycle. Has anyone ever heard of this.

No, it's because the hormone estrogen is airborne, and that's why women who are around each other have their cycles fall into sync. It happens with my girlfriends all the time.

There is a scientific study that shows although not proven yet,it is suggested that a female's menstrual cycle might have some connections with the lunar cycle because many women were found to be more fertile in full moon than any other nights.

There not 100% sure why this happens, but the general consensus is that it's caused by pheromones that women release before they get their period that can influence ovulation in the women around them. Specifically this pheromone increases the amount of LH (luteinizing hormone) in women's bodies that then triggers ovulation.
Also, women who are around each other a lot also tend to have the same kind of lifestyle, stress level and probably eat the same things as well - which can all influence the menstrual cycle.

I've heard of this happening...
I think it might just be that, since everyone has a different cycle, 25 days, 29 days, etc., eventually, all three of you will have your cycle at the same time, although after a cycle or two, they will then be at different times for a while.

Survival.
In the old, old, old days when marriage didn't exist and mating was random, women would cycle together to be fertile at the same time.
This way when an available male was around, he could propogate the species by having sex with several ovulating females at one location.

I have heard of it but don't know why it happens. I had a roomate and her and I ended up with the same cycles. Boy was that a nightmare. Weird huh?

i dont know about the moon bit!1but its because when women live under the same roof..its sort of like a pack...and like a pack of wolves..they will all come into season at the same time thereabouts...so it boils down to the animal inside of us...

I've heard of pheramones (spelling?) doing this...not the moon, though. haha.
