Is it easy to catch stuff being such close contact when wrestling?

Skin infections, such as ring worm and staff, are easy to transmit, BUT if simple proper precautions are taken wrestlers will stay safe! Wash your clothes after EVERY practice, shower right after practice, and use a mat cleaning agent, such as kinshield on the mat at least once a week and everyone will stay safe.

sort of. I wrestled for 10 years from 8 y/o thru early high-school and I never caught anything...

But i do know that Athlete's foot and especially ringworm were problems at times... just make sure whoever you're worried about shower's enough...

A little wringworm never hurt anybody... plus the coaches/team are usually obsevant enough to get the infected kids away from the healthyu kids before it becomes a problem...
