To capture photos to sell and make a profit. They gotta make a living. Unfortunately, they get payed to make the lives of others very uncomfortable.

Hehe. They do not hate celebs. They absolutly adore them. They chase them because they get more money for the tragic photo. If they chase them in a car, and something goes wrong and they get a picture of it....then thats big money. Thats their basic income.
They may not have personal feelings towards the people they are taking pictures of -but you cant hate a person thats basicially giving you money.
They chase em because its a good photo opportunity.

It's because you, as the public, want to know the dirt/gossip about celebs. the tabloids will pay from $1,000 to 500,000 for pictures. so who's to blame-we the public. it seems that we have an almost obsessive compulsion when it comes to celebs--supply and demand.

Because the media (television, magazines, newspapers) pay really good money for photos of celebs.

They are just doing their job, unfortunate though it may be. Why do people buy the trashy tabloids who buy the pictures that the "paparazzi" take while chasing some celebrity?

Why? Because they make good money for each photo and video they shoot. For example a Paparazzi captures a celebritie doing drugs, he is going to make around $600 - $1,000. I know, its amazing what people will do for money these days aint' it?
