general anesthesia is used for abdominal of LAVH and spinal anesthesia is used for vaginal hysterectomy

That depends on you, your doctor and the type of hysterectomy. I was completely "under" had a because I had to be "cut" I have a friend who had a local and they did a laproscopic procedure. Frankly I prefer to be compeltely out when having any type of surgery.

USUALLY THEY USE GENERAL ANESTHESIA. I HAD IT DONE, AND THAT IS WHAT THEY USED, YOUR AWAKE, BUT YOU DON'T FEEL ANYTHING, IT'S THE SAFEST WAY TO GO, YOU KIND OF WAKE UP, THEN YOU FEEL LIKE YOUR SLEEPING.

I was put under i don't know what they used. My surgery was also done vaginally so i had no out side incision
