I have an infected tooth and was wondering about something. This morning I drank like 2 or 3 cups of organic green tea. I also take St. John's Wart and fish oil. Well anyway, I went to the ER for an infected teeth and they gave me Penicillin. Is it ok to mix these together. Please don't ask me to call the doctor, she really didn't help me to much.

no harfull efects from mixing the substances you mentioned
though I would now suggest you cleanse too eliminate any toxins in your system
I did the Master Cleanse(lemonade diet) for 21 days straight in 03
let me tell you I'd been in an 11 day coma induced with morphine in 92 so I needed to eliminate those toxins in a bold and dramatic way
ten days is long enough for someone who appreciates their body

When you're feeling better shop around for a doctor who is not against herbs. It's much better to work in harmony with your health care provider, any other way could be dangerous.

Sometimes stores that sell herbs know of such doctors. Mostly they're naturopaths, but my regular MD has no problem with me taking St. John's Wort, and he even prescribed Calcium and a B complex for my depression. Ask around, maybe even post your city here on the alternative medicine board, someone might have a good recommendation.

Green tea, St. John's wort and fish oil should be fine while taking penicillan. Penicillan is for the infection, the other items you are using are for health benefits. It is all O.K.

Yes, St John's Wort and fish oil are herbal/natural and won't interfere at all with the penicillin.

GET that tooth Pulled... that is my suggestion. I am astounded any ER doctor gave you a thing for teeth. The only thing that will cure what ails you is a trip to a dentist...an antibiotic is only the first step...nothing else will "fix" it.
