as a product of an anonymous donor, i beg of you to not create a child who won't know their father or their siblings. it is hell to live a life of mystery, wondering if every man you pass on the street is "him" or if every person u date might be a sibling, and having to embarrassingly ask them what their fathers did when they were younger. the eldest of us that i know is in their 60s, and we are still being created. i know that the majority of us would rather have been created in ways other than this. it's not to say that we despise our parents, as we love them very much. but their inconsiderate decisions have created a good deal of pain for us, and it is their responsibilities too. most of us will never know who "he" is, or our siblings, despite all the efforts we make to find out. please, i ask you, look further into the situation of the offspring. and please message me back with whatever questions you may have, or if you want to know my story or the stories of others of us. there is so much i don't think is considered before creating a child who will never know half of themselves. remember, if you have that much love to give to a child...there are alternatives
if you would like more info from me, i have several sites you can go to in order to examine the cases of sperm donor offspring further. i really encourage you to do this before going thru with this decision

There is definitely ways to get you and your partner that baby you have been wanted. The most cost effective procedure is referred to as an AID (Artificial Insemination by Donor) I suggest going to your OB/GYN. They may do this procedure. You can look through a book and pick the donor that best fits the type of person you and your partner are. You then purchase samples (I suggest buying 2-3 as it may take a few tries and you usually get a price break when you buy more than one at a time) Depending on how many tries it takes, you are probably looking at about $100-$150 for initial exam, $10-$15 for ovulation kit, $100-$150 for the insemination, and $300-$600 for semen samples depending on how many you buy. If you are regular and know when you ovulate you are going to have a much easier time. The Dr. will tell you to get an ovulation kit and when you "Surge" which means when your body is getting ready to release the egg, you will get a positive response. You then go into the Dr. and he/she places the semen sample in the most optimal area of your cervix to give you the best chance of a successfull pregnancy result.

Yes artificial insemination is fairly easy. you can check out the fertility clinics in your area or statewide. YOu can locate one, get checked and pick out what you want him/her to look like and choose from prospective fathers who will never know.
Just research fertility clinics online and you can locate one near you.
They are very private and the father will never know nor will the child if you so request .
However you know if you briong a straight child up in a gay family he/she will be confused and suffer as a school chld and teen, and probly grow up unsure of his/her own idenity.
It's something to be considered . Are you doing the right thing for the child(which should come first) or you just considering your own needs and desires to have a child.
It's not doubt about it,. Children need a father as well as a mother.

Lots of lesbians do home insemination with a donor that leaves samples in a cup. I am planning on doing this i am straight and married but i have heard lots of the donors say they have donated to same sex couples. Their is several groups on yahoo. Make sure they have all their paperwork with std testings and screen them well. hope this helps

properly my dream has consistently been to have toddlers on account that i replaced into somewhat little i enjoyed the assumption of looking after others. while i replaced into the right age to realize my sexual selection and now that im with a woman, i comprehend that it doesnt substitute something in terms of me starting to be to be a mom. all of us who can shield a baby and desires to, would desire to. the only difficulty may be no longer having a shared baby genetically. if that seems unpreferable while a pair are gay then seem at it this way. while a pair is lady and male and that they undertake thier baby isn't shared genetically.... man made insemination is like that because of the fact technically the sperm replaced into donated hence its the comparable as adoption . only adopting the baby in the previous he or she is born. and one lady incorporates the baby as her own

It is safe, and I would say very costly. If you dont want to have sex with a male consider surrogate fathering or artifical ins. would be the best bet!

yes you can have an IUI. you would need donor sperm.. i suppose if you know someone who will donate it will be cheaper. if you have to buy sperm , that will cost more (not sure of cost on that). the procedure itself might or might not be covered by your insurance, you'd have to check
