Many young women are hairy. Our culture these days promotes the hairless look, but it takes a lot of time and money (and I think it's a little sick that many men seem to want it). It's not at all unusual to have a slight mustache (it can be bleached), hair below the navel, some facial hair, and hair on the big toes. I was in this category. I remained hairy until menopause. After I was 45 or so, the hair on my arms and legs got a little lighter and less coarse. The hair on my big toes has thinned out and is barely noticeable. I got electrolysis for the hair on my face that was too dark for my pale skin. I hear there are laser treatments now that get more hair in a single treatment, but my electrolysist said that she sees a lot of women for whom laser treatments didn't work thoroughly enough.

Good luck.

You are reprorting symptoms that are normal for your stage of life but look for certain signs. If the women in your family tend to have hair growth patterns similar to what you are experiencing, then it may normal for you. If it is not a trend in your family, maybe check for the possibility of PCOS especially if your periods are absent or highly irregular. Acne is also a symptom of PCOS. If you have any doubts, check with your Dr.

You might want to get a thyroid check to see if all your hormones are acting right. It's just a simple blood test.

If you get your periods regularly I wouldn't worry about it. It just might be a case of think hair. There was a young girl that had extremely think hair and you would think she was having hormonal problems but she didn't, just thick hair.

Yes, it's normal for teen girls to have hair in undesired places. For some it is noticeable and they have to get rid of it in one of several ways.

Since yours is not noticeable yet, you don't have to do anything about it.
