I'm sorry, but the only way I know to defeat terrorism is by killing them. They are already killing themselves, so it doesn't seem to be a problem killing them off before they kill themselves and us both. You don't offer any other suggestions, so you must not have an answer.

We will learn this about the same time we learn that cutting science out of the schools is wrong that no one lived in a whale or that you can't underfund the schools so that they are forced to cut P.E. and then complain about our kids being fat. are all part of the dumbing down of America. The right likes to quote their country music as if it were Shakespeare so here's one they should quote and understand " If you don't stand for something you'll fall for anything." We on the left stand for America and her people and freedom of said people, the right seems to think if they hang with the ideas of the idle rich they might get rich by osmosis or they buy the idea Jesus is a Republican and the ones doing the Power grab are glad to thank them for the vote toss them a crumb now and again and laugh at them behind their back as they sell our country out to the corporations. there's no way to appease violent religious zealots but that doesn't mean ya go into a neighboring country and blow into bloody smithereens everyone who resembles them. attacking, killing, destroying, maiming, occupying and humiliating tends to make the folks suffering such things rather angry and they then tend sympathize, protect and support the violent religious zealots, perhaps become one.

i have no answer to the problem of violent religious zealots except maybe poverty assistance, education and open trade. one thing for sure ... the strategy presently being used on the unfortunate people of Iraq is doing far more harm than good. "we've" been punishing an entire country, an impoverished country already demoralized by a harsh dictatorship, for something they didn't even do.

PS. hey ruth the meanie? what are you suggesting then? genocide?

Well, we do learn from history that.........people NEVER learn from history. If we don't learn to think, we will keep repeating the same mistakes over and over.

Do you have a better idea? Maybe sit in a circle and sing?

These people have been indoctrinated since childhood that America is evil and must be destroyed.

It's kind of kill or be killed with those fanatics.
