Stay away from ink refill kits. They are messy and you will regret it. They also void your warranty on your printer. Refurbished or Re manufactured or Refilled cartridges are also a big problem. Especially in an HP printer.
HP printers use heat to inject ink onto you paper. The ink head is built into your cartridge, not your printer. The reason is, when ink is injected onto your paper, the head wears out and takes damage. They are built to last long enough for only that one original fill. When you buy a new cartridge, you get a brand new head.
If you use a Refilled cartridge, you will not get top quality prints. You can also get leakage, and blotches of ink on your paper while it prints. Worst of all, if HP finds out, they will tell you that your warranty is now Void because you didnt follow their rules.
For good ink prices on new and genuine cartridges, Costco or costco.com has the best prices. If you dont have a membership, you can try Walmart.
When comparing prices, be sure to check the ml size of the cartridge. Many places might seem cheaper, but the the cartridge might be half empty!
