The most important aspect of all is timing of intercourse during the monthly cycle. The closer to ovulation you have sex, the better the chances to have a boy, because the y-sperms are faster and tend to get to the egg first. If you have sex 3 days or more before ovulation, the better your chances to conceive a girl, because the weaker y-sperms tend to die sooner and the x-sperms will be available in greater quantity whenever the egg is released. On the other hand, having sex from 2 days before ovulation, through a few days after ovulation, is better for conceiving a boy. Around the 2-day point -- 48 hours before ovulation -- seems to be the 50/50 mark.

The pH of the women's tract is also very important. A more acidic environment favors girls, since it will kill the weaker y-sperms first, leaving a greater quantity of x-sperms available to fertilize the egg. Shettles suggests that if you are trying to conceive a boy, deep penetration from your partner, preferably with the "doggy style" position, will deposit the sperm closer to the cervix giving the more aggressive and quicker moving "boy" sperm a head start to fertilizating the egg first.

When trying to conceive a boy, Shettles suggests that orgasms during sex are a good thing as the body produces substances after orgasm that makes the vaginal environment more alkaline, which favors the "boy" sperm.

The contractions which accompany an orgasm help move the sperm up and into the cervix, giving the "boy" sperm an extra chance at being available when your egg is available for fertilization.

Considerations for the Men:
Have your partner wear boxers. Wearing tight fitting underwear increases the heat levels around the testes and can, in turn, lower the sperm count. Wearing loose fitting underwear helps keep the testes cooler.

Have your partner drink a caffeinated beverage right before sex. This makes the Y-Sperm more active.

first off the chinese predictor is entertainment only, it said I was having a girl, I had a beautiful boy instead. Second of all the conditions in your body are only peak for having a boy pretty much on the day you ovulate or after, your chances of having a boy are highest then. xx sperm swim slower and are bigger but survive a lot better in more acidic fluids present at the beginning of ovulation, they are heartier, thus producing a girl. xy sperm are faster, smaller and don't thrive in acidic conditions so as close to ovulation as you can get the acidity levels go down making it easier for the xy sperm to get through. My husband and the rest of his family are hoping for us to have a girl next so trust me, I am keeping track of this very closely.

You can conceive th ebaby o fyour choice if you wish and have the money. Check with your doctor. If he will not send you tothe right place look it up on the internet as there are several clinics who do it. But it's expensive.

There is no special way you yourself can determin your baby's sex wihtout professional help medically.

anyone who tells you there is a certain way to try to conceive a boy is lying to you. the sperm is what makes it a boy or a girl. it's up to your man. i mean they can't just say "oh, let's squirt out a boy tonight". it's a random act of nature. there are no special positions or ways to squirt sperm in there. it's really not up to either of you. that's just the way it works. sorry. but it doesn't hurt to pray for a boy hun.

Y sperm are supposedly faster swimmers so having sex the day you ovulate is supposed to increase your chances since the Y sperm get the first go at the egg. You would need to abstain the 3 days beforehand, otherwise there would be X sperm waiting for the egg.
