ancient egyptian servant statues?

i have to write a paper on this and need am required to have a website source. does anyone know of a website that gives a really thorough/ indepth explanation of servant statues? all i'm finding are little 3-5 sentence blurbs of what their purpose was.

Well, there's a difference between "servant statues" and ushebti/shabti. Ushebti are all very similar to one another - they tend to be in mummiform and the usually have Chapter 6 from the Book of the Dead written on them. They first appear during the Middle Kingdom.
Servant statues are a little different. They tend to depict individuals carrying out a variety of roles, such as butchering, baking, or making pottery vessels. They are often a little more individualistic, with more attention to facial details than one typically finds with ushebti. Servant statues appear in the Old Kingdom and continue into the early Middle Kingdom.
