I regularly do tests with a bunch of them and it is really impressive in some cases.

Xoftspy tends to miss a lot of spyware and adware. It also detects a high amount of false positives. This means the program claimed an innocent program was spyware or adware. This is inconvenient, because if you remove these innocent programs as XoftSpy advices, you can cause harm to your computer.
There are many other choices that are much better. Like Lavasoft Adaware and Spybot Search and Destroy. Both are better and free.
