I only ask because I was driving home sometime last week and the sun was setting directly in front of me. Starting from the horizon, the colors were yellow, then orange, then light blue. The light blue color stretched until it was directly above me and then became dark blue. Behind me the sky was almost black. Does that mean, then, that the sky is actually black and only appears light blue when the sun's rays hit it?
