So. Imagine Hell. Bad people go there, right? Those people are tortured constantly, right? My question: are they all tortured equally? Are those who led lives to be more unjust than others tortured in more devestating of a manner? In the event that they are tortured equally does that make Hell the ideal place people seem to be striving for? You know, a place where everyone is treated in an equal and according manner? Tell me what you think about the politics of Hell and how they could be related to our world. If you don't believe in Hell then just try and imagine the Bush regime and you'll get the idea. Leave lots and lots of feedback. Thanks

Everyone has their own personal hell. The things you hate worst in life will be your hell. How do you know you are not in hell now? Hell may be something we suffer through before death. For example when you are through living, but you are not dead yet. When there seems to be no purpose in life left for you. Like you have served your purpose in life and just haven't died yet. The kids are grown, the parents are dead, your soul mate is gone, all your immediate family is too busy in their own lives to be a part of yours, and you are just going through the motions of life instead of living. You said leave lots of feedback and this was a philosophy question!

I believe that Hell exists. But I don't believe that it is a place where people are eternally tortured in fire by demons with pitchforks. That idea of Hell is way too theatrical for me.

I think that Hell is also what they say Heaven is, a state of mind. The difference between the two being that in Heaven, there is an absence of evil and in Hell, there is an absence of good.

I am not sure if it is fair to think that unequal punishments should exist in Hell and quite frankly, it is besides the point. Suffering is suffering. i think it is absurd to think that there is a "better" way to go through Hell.

=)

I believe that people are tortured unequally and that it just depends on the crimes inwhich you did to be sentenced to Hell. I also believe that while in Hell you can redem yourself and be sent to Heaven after spending an x amount of time in Hell. In the Bible it says that Jesus went down to Hell and stole the key to Hell's gate so that it may never be locked. This means that all who wish, and truely regret their sins, may enter into the Kingdom of our Heavenly Father. In aspects of our world, Hell does have alot of similar aspects, such as some people are tortured here on Earth, and some people have wrongful, sinful things done to them. But Hell treats people for their crime in my belief and is not equal, just like here. Not everyone is treated equally. So in that since, in Hell on Earth and when we die we all go to Heaven? So much to think about. This was a really good question though.

According to the Bible we will be judged on the last day then if bad will be plased in the Genna Fire along with other followers of Satan. The word Hell actually means the grave and has nothing to do at all with the after life, it has just been translated incorrectly and constantly causes confusion. Evil people will not be tortured in the after life, they will be completely put out of existence.

In Dante's "Inferno", you have several levels of Hell. It would probably be similar to the penal system. The tougher prisoners dominate the weaker ones. There is most likely some kind of pecking order. When George W. Bush eventually arrives there, he may decide to enter Hellish politics. Perhaps he will try to challenge Philip Roth's President Tricky, Staggolee, and Satan himself for Head Devil. He will have a good chance of winning, because Karl Rove will be at his side. The only difference, is that "Turdblossom" will literally be human feces. He will be a talking turd!

Everyone is rewarded or reprimanded according to the quality of their past thoughts, feelings and actions. We all have the potential to make our lives here on earth a virtual heaven or hell.

This is a universal law built into nature. Why would such an organized system change when these bodies die?

Let me tell you about the so called heaven first;
The story goes that a great person , by name Karna , so much in charity and gave food and shelter to many , did everything that nbeeds to be done to help the others.

he died and went to... where else... heaven. There was a big reception for him. Gold and diamond everywhere , perople , the best of foods . karna walked and walked . he was very thorsty. very. he neede water. No water was in sight. he asked for water . No one would give that.!

when he asked for the reason , the heaven ly people explained " you gave evrythinh, Karna. But you forgot one thing which you have easily done. You forgot to give water after the food to the people. So......"

Hell or heaven. it is the same treatnebt according to the actions done.

Iwas not yet in one . so I cannot vouch for this.

This one doesn't belong here, I'm sure. But it is done with some levity, so I'll answer. No one really desires to be treated equally except when it appears to them that the other person is getting better treatment. If they are getting the better treatment they would rather not have everyone treated equally.

well evidently some people misread your question and the said some dumb *** ****.

the way i understand hell, there are different layers. 1st layer you are burned continually for a 1000 years, 2nd layer something worse and so forth until you join hells army. from there you continue to go up the ranks in hell until you are Satans personal guard.

to understand the politics of hell you have to understand why satan has been castaway there. satan wanted to overthrow heaven. he wanted to rule. when god saw this he banished satan and all his followers out of heaven. they soon found hell and claimed it to rule. so satan is not doing god a favor by torturing sinners. he is recruiting them

and in the bible it doesn't say what is sin is worse. it describes the sins and sounds to me like they are all equal.

Hell isn't real. It's actually quite childish. If God is love, why would he put us through that forever? He's putting us through this world bc it's not long now that it will all be gone.
