I usually don't get burnt out until the 3rd or 4th week of school HA HA. Seriously..You have made it further than a lot of people do...Finish it..You will hate yourself later if you don't. I went to college and dropped out (I am a junior)..I tried to go back last year and it''s VERY hard. It's harder to learn, If you just can't do it NO MATTER WHAT..take a semester off..Better to do that than fail. STick with it..just take 1 day at a time. I use to take a calender and count the number of days and count backwards. Put in on the calender (60 days left, 59, 58, etc. ) Before you know it, it's over

If your a senior in college, just stick it out, you'll be glad you finished.
If your a senior in high school and another four years of school is looking very ominous to you, I sympathize. College right after high school isn't for everyone. Will your parents let you take a break and work a job for a year or allow you to enroll in a community college?
Once you get out of high school and get a taste of the work force and whats expected of you, you might have a better understanding and appreciation of college.
Also keep in mind that college is very different than high school. Yes you have to take certain classes, English, Math, Science, but you have more choices and more freedom. You pick your schedule, your teachers and you are responsible for your attendance, your assignments, your absences. No one is holding your hand, you don't have to ask permission to step out of the room or bring in a note if you miss a class. You also don't have to put up with the immature kids that you are dealing with in high school. Those that are making your life miserable in high school will be gone when you get to college. No one will care if you were or weren't a popular HS student. Your performance, and your attitude will.
You will only get out of the college experience what you put into it. If you really aren't into it and want to sit out the first year after high school, talk to your parents. Present them with a good alternative - like your working a full time job or taking a couple of the general classes at a commuter college while your working. Or discuss carreers you can get without a four year degree, LPN is one year, Cosmotolgy is two years, some jobs like plumber you can do as an apprentice and learn on the job.
Be sure you have something to discuss besides no college. your parents want you to be a productive person not doing nothing!

No, college is really tough. I hated my undergrad. I had to take so many required courses that i wasn't even remotely interested. Now, in my masters, i'm in heaven. I'm in a program that excites me and for the first time in my life, I can say that I truly enjoy school. It's all about whether or not the information you are learning and the assignments you are doing have some benefit to you... ie. you feel there is a point to them. When I hate an assignment and don't see it as value-added.... i'm miserable doing it. All I can say is that college makes you jump through many hoops and once you zero in on what makes you want to read and learn, things get better. Pick a program (usually in graduate studies) that makes you excited. It really helps you cope with all the work. Good luck.

No, your not alone, think about it, your in school, making no money, still having people tell you what , you can and can't do. And some of the young smart a--professors who think they know everything, make life a living he--,how soon they forget they were once in our shoes. That part of it sucks....excuse my french, but it does! But what really blows more then that, (Liston closely) is having to go back later because your dream is still there, and to get it, you have to go through the crap. But it's harder now, because your older, classes are harder, and those same smart a----are welcoming you back to reality! Do your time, No way around it!
