Most of the times in his career he had injuries problems... additionally he was not consistent. Although he was a wicket taking bowler. But injuries & incosistency were made him go out of the team. Especially when we are having some new commer hammering the national team door. This is also the reason that he must improve his length and yakars. Also he is a poor fielder. Now a days there are better bowlers. Like shree shant and Munaf. Thus he cant be taken to the team.
And also he himself told that he will not come to the team as he has many injuries.

He has suffered from injuries lately.I am not aware of his current fitness status.
Also he is a poor fielder.
His performance in world cup 2003 was superb
In WC 2003 final against Australia
Srinath,Zaheer Khan and all went for 80 runs in 10 overs
Only Nehra bowled economically
In the earlier matches,everyone bowled brilliantly.

First of all he is injury prone bowler. He has just recovered from, injury and has not bowled well in the matches played by him after become fit. Since other better bowlers are available, he was not selected.

He was injured. It is going to take time to return to international cricket as he is rhythm bowler for which practice is needed and for which he'll have to play domestic cricket. At present he is the only one senior good bowler of India.Hope he'll find his rhythm very soon.

there is some probleh in his fitness so he is not 100% fit
he got many injuries so there is some problem in his bowling action which causes injuries
presently he injured seriously so he take rest for two months
