yes sachin tendulkar fit to be in south africa tour .
he is 80% fit which is quite enough for the tour
he the guy which causes a big change in the match.

his fitness level is alright;good enough to play international cricket.
He has toured SA many times and performed decently
He was the player of the tournament in World Cup 2003
It is necessary to have atleast a few experienced players.
Did well in challenger series(domestic),though not in champions
trophy.
Of course scored a superb 140 against WI in Malaysia recently.
His form is not a problem.

At the moment now yes. But, the fitness of any player is always under doubt. Especially if they are going to play in some other country life SA. He is 32+ so he has to be very much careful about his fitness getting older everday.... that might be the reason why he is not able to perform as he used to do 3-4 years back.
Its really had to adjust in new athmosphare and playing cricket.
