If a mile is 1/32 of an inch, that means there are 32 miles to an inch.

So to find the distance, you simply multiply 32 miles per inch * 1.6 inches = 51.2 miles :)

if 1/32 inch means 1 mile
32/32 inch means 32 miles and
hence 1.6 32/32 means 1.6 times 32 miles~50 miles
