Generally speaking, You should consider who sharing it.
For the first time, the notebook support low speed DVD+R only.
But, You can burn -R, +R.
Sure, The result is choosing +R only.
Now, do consider about Rewritable Media.
The rewritable Media is write or erase doing, over and over.
Hmm. It is very expensive than DVD+R or DVD-R.
But it(rewritable media) is slow than DVD+R or DVD-R.
These are not economic than DVD+R or DVD-R.
Now, You can choice DVD+R only.
This is economic and fast burn than rewritable media burning.
Good Luck.

Your burner will burn on DVD+R and DVD+RW (stands for ReWritable) discs. Some burners will write on both + and - types of media.

There isn't a DVD R/RW, it must be either positive or negative or both, can't be just blank,
to be safe, just buy DVD+R and DVD+RW
