An answer to the question of "what is the point of life?" was purpose. I have no purpose in my life but to live it day by day. I take what is presented to me (my reality) and live it .And I am happy with that. If I was to have the thought that I was suppose to have a purpose in my life, then I would have to live each day with that purpose in my mind and judge how I live with that purpose in mind. I would not like the pressure of that in my life. My day would be spent judging this action as oppose to that action based on that purpose. I wish to experience life the way it is given to me every morning, without purpose. Free will and freedom.

well, to be self actualized see maslows hierarchy of needs.
you need a purpose and goals. doesn't have to be lofty.

when you're young whats important is often different than after you see things good and bad. and passions often develop later too.

you may be the rarest of persons who needs no goals or dreams for the future to be happy and motivated.. but you probably are just translating things very black and white.
i bet you do have goals and dreams and purpose and passion.

an example for a generalized goal..
to make the world a better place you can do one big thing once in your life or small things daily or weekly.
it doesn't have to rule your life.. any time one goal or idea or need rules all its excessive and not totally healthy. purpose should not take away freedom or free will .

even Mother Teresa went on vacation had friends- some separateness from her job, her purpose, her passion, her life's work. she chose to let it be most all. few choose that excessive a path.
she made her own choices, her own rules and was free to stop at any time.

bill gates never had any restricitons on free will or freedom either.

The true purpose of life is to live it. Take the lessons you learn, leave behind a legacy. Have an impact on the world and hold you're own while you are here. we all have a purpose in life, it is our job to fufill that purpose for our own good.

The one and only true purpose of life is to continue to be. That is to say, the purpose of life is to live and go on living. This is the "purpose" all life forms share. From the amoeba to man, the purpose is to continue. This involves maintenance of the self and procreation, whether sexual or asexual (as for the amoeba) to preserve the species. You may believe this is all an expression of nature, or of God, or of All That Is. It is all the same.

Purpose is one reason to live life, but not the only one. Point of life is to proceed on through time. Regardless what we due or say, think or do, or not do or say or think, life goes on. If not through you then through some other form. It may be knocked back, knocked down and knocked up but it always comes roaring back to step beyond what it was. Even if life is wiped out on this planet, life will struggle on somewhere else.

if you knew what your purpose was, then how much fun would that be. just like if you knew the exact time you were going to die. it wouldnt be fun at all. so i say dont question things that a higher power hasnt told us. i know that sounds like one of those crazy *******, but thats the way you have to think about it. the good die young, and the bad get welfare

If you have a purpose in life, you live to fulfill it.

If you don't, make a purpose.

This whole 'meaning of life' sub-class of philosophy doesn't really exist. No one's stopping you from living life without teleology. I really don't care.
