No... however you can turn your dvd player in multi region... forever!
Just have to insert some codes... depending on the model

yes in fact most new dvd players are listed as region free. If you want to know for sure ask before you buy it

You can find region free firmware from the web. Just google "(your dvd model #) hacked firmware"
you can also toss "region free" in the search if you like.
Flash your dvd with a region free hacked firmware and you can play disks from where ever.
