how important is it to look nice at work?

I work at a call center and people have loss the interest to look professional and I personally think its important but, I wanted to know other people's opinion?

Very important; you know the old saying you don't dress for the job you have, but the one you want. Well, it rings true. Dressing better can put you a notch above the others and looking good usually makes me feel good.

Depends on the job, Does a mechanic wear a expensive suit to do a oil change? You work in a office though so you should wear proper office attire.

I am a business woman and yes i beleive u should look professional as u r representing that business.
