I have the same problem as you. I've found a great hairstyle that works for me. Let your hair grow past your shoulders, and then have it cut in layers that frame your face, beginning at the cheekbone. When the hair curls around your jawline and your cheekbones, it makes your face look thinner.

Japanese people have this sort of band that wraps your face around. I guess it gradually makes your face smaller? Try looking in one of those Japanese / Asian stores. Ask your friends for some store around you.
