how do i delete song off my ipod nano?

when i try to do it a gray screen comes up and won't let me delete

If you want to delete songs from you IPOD nano you need to be in manual Mode in itunes. Right click on the IPOD icon in itunes and under the music tab switch to manually mange song and play list. Just remeber to eject you Ipod when you disconnect.

Make sure you iPod is connected to iTunes. From iTunes, click the iPod icon and it should bring up a list of songs. Just highlight the song you want to delete and hit the delete button.

Right now it is simply mirroring your library in Itunes. To manually control what gets on go the Ipod device listing (in Itunes 7) and than on the first tab check off sync manually. For Itunes 6 or later go to Edit>preferences>Ipod

Connect the ipod, open itunes, click on the Ipod to show all songs on it, right click on the song you want to remove, and click clear. Choose yes to remove it.

If you have itunes 7.0 when you plug i nyour ipod you can resotre it to its facotry settings and then all the songs will be taken off. If you just want to delete one song that I suggest restoring it to its factory settings and then putting all the songs you want back on.

bypass on your music out of your ipod on itunes. no longer on the suitable of the website on itunes yet under the icon of your ipod on the left side. good click on the the somng you prefer to delete
