Curious question, I see that people want to find techniques on rushing labor to get the baby to come, and people say the baby will come when it is ready. Can you also have an issue where the baby is ready and your body is not?

This can be an issue, my sister in law had this problem, when the baby was ready her body didn't help the labour along, she had contractions but nothing strong enough to produce labour, then she got strep B, and it made the baby to weak to come out by herself, she ended up been induced and the baby was delivered by the vacuum. This is normally if baby is ready and your body doesn't proceed into labour you could be sent to have a Cesarean, this is because baby gets distressed when ready and nothing happens.
Best of luck

I think it is rare...but I do believe obviously anything is possible. From personal experience, my placenta aged to a stage 3 and I wasn't in labor. A stage 3 the placenta is done and really cannot provide nourishment any more. So there are cases the Dr. should interevene and help.....although it should be a last resort. It makes the process much smoother if your body is ready!

No, when the baby is ready, your body is ready, it is an all or nothing.

I doubt it. When the baby is ready, your body adjusts.
