I am thinking about buying a psychology book and I would like to know the difference between editions, lets say 11 and 12

For new books all the time price. If you are talking about new area there might be new studies cited, but most of the time very little changes especially something on 12th ed., so check the Forward sometimes good author's will give reasons for new edition, and see which one meets your needs best.

The difference they just update the newer edition with the latest studies... or just to attract customer, maybe?
