actually, believe it or not, lifting weights will stop your growth. If you exercise alot different chemicals/nutrients will stop helping YOU grow and start helping your muscles grow... I would wait til you were at the height you want to be! =)

Nope. Anything you've heard about stunting growth is not really true. The only way a person can stunt their growth lifting weights is by breaking their growth plates, and that rarely happens. I'm in 11th grade and I've lifted weights (on and off) since 8th grade. I was 5'8" the end of my 8th grade year and I'm now 6'2", my man you won't stunt your growth. Just work hard and try to make your freshman or JV team.

So, im in 9th grade too, so, all the sports teams at my school, grade 9 teams included. HAVE to work out in the weight room at least twice a week, and its part of our gym thing, so i think you'll be fine.

Keep the weights light and 2-3 times a week, stay away from body builder supplements, and you'll be fine.
Running and situps are the best workouts in any sports, I've found, and you can do those everyday.

initially don't be worried approximately freshman year. i circulate to be a sophomore next year and that i circulate to a college with 2,500 childrens in it, so i replaced into incredibly freaked out by skill of the dimensions of the college, yet interior the top I ought to assert i enjoyed intense college life while in comparison with center college. don't be worried approximately being picked on in the journey that your 6 feet becuz no one will start up something with a infant your length. As for college activities, it relies upon on how massive your college is. In my college basically 2 beginners made the college group, one among which made it because of the fact his dad replaced into the assistant coach, and one among which replaced into relatively way extra desirable than me. I made JV which replaced right into a sturdy getting to understand journey. i might say definetley attempt out because of the fact then you definately know what you're up against for the subsequent season or you will possibly even make the group.
