Believe me it can take anywhere from six seconds to six hundred years. It depends on you. You must get up one day and said something like "look kiddo, this is now over and I must continue to live my life. I am now going to go out and enjoy life to its fullest. forget the past and move on into the future". and then do it.

There is no time limit when it comes to divorce and the grief that follows! Each person deals with it in their own way and time!
My advice is to keep busy and join a group or take a class or 2. This way you won't focus so much on the bad feelings that a Divorce brings, and will lessen your grief the more you get out and stay busy!
Won't be easy but you can try!
Best of luck!

I was devastated for a few weeks of not knowing why this was happening. Then I got the results of my STD check. I got over it about a minute after the doctor told me it was positive.
