Live from Cincinnati, Ohio:
After a video highlight package, pyro goes off as Jim Ross welcomes us the Cyber Sunday. "The King" is voting at the broadcast desk. The Spanish announcers are introduced.
Maria and Todd Grisham come out and stated that about 15 million votes have been cast on WWE's web site.
(1) Umaga (with Armando Alejandro Estrada) vs. Kane. Kane wins the voting with 49% of the vote. Sandman received 28% and Benoit got 23%. (graphic said over 14,300,000 votes cast). Umaga did a headbutt off the ropes, which gained him the advantage. Not much off a wrestling match, as you'd imagine. Lots of punching and brawling. Umaga missed the Samoan Spike while the two brawled outside of the ring. Umaga blocked a chokeslam attempt with a rake to the eyes. Back suplex by Kane! Kane leaped off the top rope, but received a thumb by Umaga. Umaga wins via the Samoan Spike at 8:39.
Backstage, Sharmell talked to Big Show. She said what matters tonight is for Booker and Big Show to retain their belts tonight. Big Show said she doesn't trust her or her husband, and tonight its every man for themselves. The Queen said he'll regret his decision.
(2) Cryme Tyme vs. The Highlanders vs. Viscera and Charlie Haas vs. Trevor Murdoch & Lance Cade. Maria and Todd reveal that fans voted for a "Texas Tornado" match with 50% of the vote. The Highlanders cleared the ring at one point, as the action is in and out of the ring. Cryme Tyme win a short match. After the match, they celebrate in the Raw booth and took Lawler's laptop.
Backstage, HBK is shown voting on a laptop. Hunter comes in to try to convince him to vote for Bischoff. HBK flips out when Hunter said he's not controversial enough and superkicks a few employees in the hallway.
(3) IC title match: Jeff Hardy vs. Carlito. Grisham and Maria reveal that fans picked Carlito with 62% over Benjamin and Johnny Nitro. Shelton got 25%, and Nitro only got 13%. The two slapped hands before the match started. Carlito went for the backslide for a quick victory, but Hardy kicked out. Fans are flat for this match, including some chants of boring could be heard. Carlito has done his best to mat wrestle Hardy, but the fans aren't into it at all. Carlito blocked the swanton with his knees, but Hardy was able to kick out of a pinfall attempt. The whisper in the wind only got Hardy a two count. Hardy wins via the swanton bomb at 13:22 to retain the IC title.
They ran a promo for the Hulk Hogan DVD Anthology.
Ross and Lawler aired a video highlight package of the DX/Orton and Edge feud.
(4) DX vs. Randy Orton and Edge (without Lita). DX did their best to pop the live crowd by pointing to one side of the ring and encouraging fans in that section to cheer. They stalled and stalled. Maria said she voted for Vince because she didn't want to get fired. Fans voted for Eric Bischoff to referee with 60% of the vote. Vince and Coach both got 20% each. Lita didn't come out with Edge, guess she's gearing up for her match later on. At least early on, Bischoff is calling it right down the middle. Hunter argued with Bischoff, but the former WCW boss screamed "I'm doing the best that I can." Edge missed a spear attempt on HBK and nailed Bischoff. Orton RKOs Hunter, but no referee. Referee Chad Patton runs in, but Triple H kicks out. Sweet chin music by HBK, HHH pins Orton, but Bischoff pulls out Patton. Edge nails HBK with a chair on the outside as Bichoff grinned. Orton hit Hunter with a chair in front of Bischoff, and then an RKO on the chair. Orton pinned Hunter at 18:12.
More "The Marine" hype aired.
Backstage, Edge and Orton celebrated with Lita. Edge told Lita to go out there and take care of business. Grisham interviewed Edge and Orton and called their victory "tained." Edge said the new era in wrestling is rated RKO. Edge and Orton left together in a limo.
The divas came out to ringside. We have ECW, Smackdown and Raw divas present.
(5) Mickie James vs. Lita. Marie revealed that the fans selected a "diva lumberjack" match. Darn, I wanted a submission match for comic relief. The lumberjacks patted the ring and chanted for "Mickie James." As you would probably guess, the fans couldn't care less about this match. With both ladies on the outside, it basically turned into a battle royal on the floor. The ref restored order, but this match continued to be sloppy! Lita wins with a DDT at 8:08 and captures the vacant Women's title. James kicked Victoria into Melina on the floor, but it allowed Lita to hit the DDT and victory.
A Wrestlemania 23 promo aired.
Backstage, Kenny yelled at the rest of the Spirit Squad. Kenny and Johnny got into a shoving match. Kenny said he ruffed up Mikey to get him ready for tonight.
(6) The Spirit Squad (Kenny and Mikey) vs. Ric Flair and "Rowdy" Roddy Piper. Maria did her best whoo attemps, and then she and Grisham revealed that fans had picked Roddy Piper to be Flair's partner with 46% of the vote. Dusty got 35%, and Sgt. Slaughter finished third with 19% of the votes. Boy, Piper should have left his shirt on, as he has quite a gut these days. Flair called out Rhodes and Slaughter to be at ring side. Piper went for a sleeper on Mikey, but Kenny broke it up. Lawler said votes had been coming in at a rate of 4,000 votes per minute. Lawler pointed out that Piper needed to hit the tanning salon. He looks like "Playboy" Buddy Rose from the AWA days. Kenny saved his team by jumping off the top rope when Flair had the figure four leg lock on Mikey. Flair forced Mikey to tap out at 6:55, so Flair and Piper are your new World Tag Team champions. A melee broke out afterwards, but the legends cleared the ring.
Backstage, Booker (with Sharmell) told John Cena they needed to talk. Booker suggested a royal alliance. Cena quickly agrees, but wants one thing in return. Cena wants one night with the Queen. Booker escorts Sharmell out, and agrees. Cena said he would never take his wife. Cena tells Booker he has no problem taking the title off Booker. Once again, Ron Simmons says "damn." Its funny the first time, but its over played.
(7) King Booker (with Sharmell) vs. The Big Show vs. John Cena. Members of the Cincinnati Bengals are sitting ring side. Fans have voted for the World title to be defended with 67% of the vote. ECW title got 21% of the vote, the WWE title only received 12%. Early on, fans are pro-Cena. This match is no countouts or disqualifications. On the outside, Big Show tried to nail Cena with the ring steps, but Cena countered by taking out his knee as the Show went face first into the steps. Booker hits the book end early, but Cena kicked out. As the match progresses, the fans slowly turn on Cena. Booker put Cena in the sleeper, but Cena countered with a side slam. Cena attempted the FU on Booker, but the World champ countered with a DDT. Cena tried the STFU, but Booker made it to the ropes. Lawler said 14,687,233 votes had been cast for the event. This is one of those matches where the fans don't know whom to pull for, and appear to be warming up to Cena again. The Big Show finally returned to the match after selling the ring steps spot. Show rammed Cena's head into the Raw announcer's table on the outside, but regrouped and nailed the Show's head into the announcer's table. Five knuckle shuffle on Booker. Sharmell runs in but is FU-ed by Cena. Cena slaps on the STFU, but the referee attends to Sharmell. Kevin Federline comes in with the world title belt and hits Cena over the back. Booker hits Cena with the world title and pins Cena at 21:06 for the victory. K-Fed looks on and laughs at Cena. K-Fed comes back into the ring and does Cena's hand gesture to the WWE champion.
