Any life form as we know it could never live on Uranus. Of course, I think it's a bit arrogant and short-sighted to think that we know any and all forms that life can take. After all, life exists at the bottom of oceans where it was once thought living organisms could never survive. We have such a small perspective so far that there could be many forms of life that we can't currently imagine. Only time will tell.

Uranus is a gaseous planet, and thus cannot harbour any life, for it does not have a solid surface. If anything, perhaps one one of its moons, life could be sustainable. The atmosphere does not have much water in it, and the pressures and temperatures are too extreme.
One of the moons on which there is most likely to be life is on Jupiter's Europa. Now, it could be possible for man to colonise Europa, but that is rather unlikely within the next few centuries.

Any type of life-form would have to withstand freezing temperatures, a huge gravitational pull, and high winds. Uranus has no surface so whatever kind of life-form would live there would have to float. The atmosphere is made mostly of hydrogen and helium, with a small amount of methane. Now I don't know what kind of respiration could harness energy from those elements.
