spellbound is a good real life murder book... it is kinda based on a real life story but hun let me tell you i am a big reader and reading is mostly for fantasy and to get away and and use your imagination... you should try to read some fantasy fiction that could have murders in it or somthing .. otherwise you could or should probuably stick to csi or whatever it is

Biographies are always good. If you're not much of a reader then you need to choose something that's not going to be to heavy to start off with. Roald Dahl's biography called "Boy" is great to start off with because it's short and each chapter is one event in his life. Very interesting reading.

If you want a novel, Ted Dekker's trilogy "Black". "Red" and "White" is a great read with a gripping story about possible alternate realities.

Good luck

"A Million Little Pieces" followed by "My Friend Leonard" by James Frey. I read these before the Oprah controversy and found them to be excellent books based on true stories. Frey is an excellent writer. The stories are interesting, touching, and thought-provoking.

"The Kite Runner" by Khaled Hosseini and "My Sister's Keeper" by Jodi Picoult. After this two, you would never want to read anything else. No one can write as good as them. I have the whole collection of Jodi Picoult's novels.

What I like about Jodi Picoult is that the way she writes and she never fails to give you surprises even at the last page. Trust me!
