If the teacher is doing a good job, he or she makes everyone student feel like they're receiving special attention. It's probably not meant to be interpreted as romantic interest. Don't pursue it because in the worst case scenario, it's illegal. She'll get fired and go to jail. In the best case scenario, she's just trying to make you feel special...just like the other 26 students. And bringing it to her attention that you think the attention is romantic will just freak her out and end embarrassment for all. Either way, leave it alone.

I am sure that your teacher likes you but not like-likes you. Trust me, I have had experiences on the other side (teachers side) and never once have I seen another teacher like a kid and I understand why. Not to say that kids are bad or mean or stupid or anything it is just that teachers are so busy and have so much on their mind that it is a non-issue. And if your teacher really were to like you like that, it would be sick and disgusting and wrong but I think she smiles at you out of kindness not for the sake of making you think that she likes you. Good luck.

Maybe she sees potential and is trying to be encouraging. Don't take it beyond that!
Maybe she's scared if she doesn't smile at you, you'll hurt her! Just kiddin'
( believe me, you don't want it to mean anything more-
teacher's have too many problems to get wrappped in students)

My guess is she is laughing at you on the inside, because she heard about the question you asked your other teacher. ( I saw it somewhere about having a relationship with her.) Teachers talk ya know.
