In the words of my former boss who treated me like a secretary despite the word "director" in my title: "Any guy who would want to do this (receptionist) job is gay."
Men fear men who aren't afraid to take part in evolution. We have evolved past treating women like maids, secretaries, etc. Some men are afraid of that. Another reason is that there are women out there who haven't evolved, and sadly, they take on these jobs with pride.

They aren't. More and more guys are beginning to be secretaries. I think it is as jobs become more equal, women are taking some places that men used to occupy, and now men are taking secretarial, CSR, bank teller, nurse, etc. positions.

Because women are generally considered the softer side of the species and most people treat them differently than they do a man.

its because they tend to answer the phones in a professional way and file papers correctly
