Does anybody know the legitimacy of becoming an ordained minister online?

It probably more of a joke. My cousin got one of these and not know anything about the Bible. A Church follow certain procedures to ordain a minister. Below a link to Ordination if you want to check it out.

It depends.

Some are scams, some are "diploma mills" and not certified, some are valid online colleges and seminaries.

scams - not legitimate
diploma mills - maybe, but probably not accepted in most states.
Valid online colleges and seminaries - legal and accepted everywhere.

ANY that promise diplomas is LESS than 2 years I would be very careful of.
