I have never gone from thinking my team great one week, and then that they suck the next week. I do live and die by my Ohio State Buckeyes though. When you follow a team as closely as I do, you start to feel what they feel. It's hard to watch intently, and not get into it. My wife gets on me about my emotions when watching the Buckeyes. She watches soap operas, but can't understand the way I get when watching football. It feels good to believe in something and follow that closely. We gotta have a diversion from life and kids once in a while, so we really get into the games.

People get really intense about their football teams. They become a part of our lives.

I know that after one of my two teams lose, I'm devestated. And angry. You're rooting for something that you love. Like ny21tb said, it's passion. When my team wins: I'm happy. Thrilled. Ready to go out and have a party. :)

People just really want to see things that they love succeed :)
