pick a path books.
they are books that speak in the 2nd person. as though the characters speak directly to you.
one series I enjoyed as a teenager were the final fantasy series. I am sure that even now as an adult they would entertain.

There were many different types - I had the Choose Your Own Adventure books which were excellent and also some with Dragon in the title (but it wasn't Dungeons and Dragons) and of course the Fighting Fantasy series. There was also a series where you had to have a many sided dice to choose which way to go. I remember the Choose Your Own Adventure ones were excellent but I seemed to die rather early on...... my fave was one called the Forbidden Castle and I could never get into the castle (except the dungeons where I stayed until I rotted).

I know some are called "choose your own adventure" books, but all the ones I found were at second-hand stores, and most are pretty juvenile, but still kinda fun. I hope that helps.

Choose Your Own Adventure. I used to LOVE those books when I was younger. Don't know where you'd find them now though.

On the Goosebumps books it says decide your own fate. Others it say Choose you own ending, make your own story but I don't recall there being a name that they call them but if someone knows I would like to know too.
