An adequate living condition must be provided for the children. I'd contact DCFS and also the animal control office to find out what the limit for animals to a property is and if they are licensed and have had all the reguired shots.

As to the number of people there, unfortunately as long as adequate facilities are provided for the children they can live the way they want.

Well does the father own the home??? if he owns the home then nothing can be done. But if he's renting then no it should not be legal, plus not to make you sound bad but why would you let your kids be put in that kinda situation, do you know all these people , is there father there at all times, do you know these people enough to know they won't hurt your children???

WOW! Sounds a bit crowded to me, but if everyone is happy and content, who am I to say. I wouldn't like it, but some do not know any different. Since you have a children involved I would check it out further and see if there is any laws about this, but I kind of doubt there are, unfortunate for you and you children. What do your children think about it all?

you mention your father is just renting the house then as a renter they are only allowed to live one family it doesn't mean small or big family for as long as it is the father, mother and kids ( that is one family) but if they are living with brother, sister and girlfriend then they are called extended family and that definitely violation of the contract of lease.
