I really want to learn brazilian jiu-jitsu and right now I'm having a little trouble asking my parents. I'm a sophomore in high school and I juggle other sports such as golf. I want to learn brazilian jiu-jitsu as a hobby but do you think it would help me get into college such as something I could list or maybe somewhere I could get a letter of reccomendation from? I really want to take bjj but I think I would make a more convincing arguement it helped me get into a better college. Also later on if My bjj is very strong I want to become involved in Mixed Martial Arts is that a help too?

It won't help you directly. I mean the admission people at the Universities won't say "Hey! This one has got martial arts! I know I'm choosing to invite!". But if you can learn life-skills though Martial Arts, it might help you through the stressful times at University.

It is a possibility but it also depends on the school. Most colleges look for some sort of extra curricular activity on top of your grades. The discipline involved may help your concentration and by default help your grades. Instructing classes might help to get you some college credits. If you are very good at Martial Arts a recommendation from your instructor might help with the application process. Another thing would depend on whether the school has a martial arts team/club. Some schools do have martial arts as part of their sports program. I would think you would be hard pressed to find one that has Brazilian Jujitsu, however. I would imagine that if they had a martial arts program it would be Tae Kwon Do, if anything.

Good grades will help you get into college.
Martial arts can teach you discipline that you can use to study so you can make the grade.
You need to talk with the representatives from the colleges you are interested in, to see if there is a scholarship for athletes in martial arts.

colleges will look at the activites u do in school mostly not the ones u did outside of school becuz they want to see that u wre invlved in school things like that u participate well in scool functions, havign outside activities shows tht u prfered to go other places than ur own school for fun, being involved in community service howver is somethign else completely, bjj might be a great thing to do to help ur body adn stuff but no college will droll over ur application becuz u tok it, it may show u are a bit more cultured but in the end it comes down to academics

Probably not. Although many non-academic activities will score favorably with admissions folks, this does not seem likely to be one of them.
