Lately, I have felt misunderstood.........and maybe a bit lonely. I feel the burden of everything on my shoulders. I am tired of responsibility and no peace of mind. I am constantly waiting for the other shoe to drop. I am tired of overcoming hurdles. When will they just stop coming? When will the waters be calm? Can you relate?

No, but I do often feel isolated from people around me, because I typically observe instead of getting involved or interacting with people. Because of this, most consider me to be shy or anti-social. As a result, I tend to spend a lot of time alone, instead of with friends (by choice). I prefer to think and reflect on things instead of being with people. I rarely feel "lonely," as I associate loneliness with negative feelings. I like alone time.
