In his lifetime, Ben Franklin was the most famous man in the world. He was an acclaimed writer, scientist and diplomat. He was a crucial factor in the success of the American Revolution. He had no interest in political office, but could have been president for the asking. He is well-deserving of his place on the hundred dollar bill.
