Usually when people chew on things it's because they are nervous or stressed out. The way to stop is to just be aware that you are doing it and tell yourself no. Just put the thing down. It might be hard but hey, it only takes 21 days to totally stop a habit.

You have an oral fixation. My advice if you can't stop yourself conciously from chewing/biting things then go to a psychologists or read up on the issue. This may be a subconcious problem.

A nervous/bad habit disorder. Try finding something else to occupy your mind. If you find it, let me know, my boy friend chews gum all the time but smacks with every chew. I would like to help him find a cure!

Why is he chewing by all of your cables?? Do you or your boyfriend not be conscious him doing this? I have 2 abode rabbits and could absolutely be conscious in the adventure that they were chomping my cables. Do you go away him for classes of time on his own? if so it would want to easily be an undemanding case of lack of self assurance. pups will bite to alleviate pressure (as in being left all alone.) if so you want to gradually construct his self assurance by technique of leaving him for a couple of minutes to commence with then builing it as a lot as an hour or so. continually go throught an same recurring even as leaving him, even if or not that is treats or words. it could be achieved, you in basic terms want to apply your head and locate out his set off.

It's a nervous habit. you need to find another way to calm yourself. Try keeping chewing gum handy. A way to break a bad habit is to place a rubber band on your wrist and each time you catch yourself doing it snap it.
