I like Monopoly Is it a boring game

I think that Monopoly is boring in the sense that there are few decisions to be made in the game. First, for movement, you move as far as the dice dictate. Your first and one of your only opportunities for a decision is when you land on an open property and decide whether or not to buy. If you don't buy, then it's an auction (see below). Other than that, your decisions are whether or not to expend the money to buy houses or hotels for your properties. The rest of the game is just roll the dice and see what happens.

Monopoly would proceed more quickly if players followed the rules, which are printed in the game, i.e.

1) When someone chooses not to buy a property, it is sold at an auction. From the rules:
"If you do not wish to buy the property, the Banker sells it at auction to the highest bidder. The buyer pays the Bank the amount of the bid in cash and receives the Title Deed card for that property. Any player, including the one who declined the option to buy it at the printed price, may bid. Bidding may start at any price."

Auctioning property speeds the game as it helps to reach the end conditions, eliminating players, faster because they deplete their cash reserves faster.

2) No Free Parking Money -- these don't appear in the rules anywhere. If a player has to pay money for a fine or for Luxury Tax or something similar, the money goes to the bank, not onto the board to be won on the Free Parking space. Giving an influx of money like that just prolongs the game.

The whole point of the game is that the prices of everything spiral up until all the players but one cannot afford to pay.

I actually like Monopoly, but it can get bogged down near the end of the game once the properties have all been bought up. Once I was playing with three friends and we had to quit because the bank ran out of money.

I don't think monopoly is a boring game beacuse each time you play it something more drastic happens compared to the last time you played. I love it!!

It will be very intense for the first time. But after playing it around 1 hour, boredom will invade me.

Well, I like it pretty much.
It teaches us the basic foundation of probability (from dices) and economy (from money-money stuff).

Hehehehehehe.....

I agree it's fun when you play with people who aren't as competitive. It gets really boring when the competitive people won't trade with you ... 'cause then the game just drags.
