last year my husband went to the extension of the community center that happens to be in our township and he got information on a family from them. you could always try your community center, or, if you're a member of a church, you could ask your pastor. my husband's gotten names from there too. :D

There are numerous organizations that will be able to fill your need. I personally know that The Salvation Army is now taking applications for Christmas and Thanksgiving food baskets as well as applications for toys, gifts and clothing for Christmas. Look up their address in the phone book and contact them NOW. God Bless You.

Try the local Salvation Army or go to the nearest shelter and maybe they can give you a name of a needy family.
