I just got a Ouija board from 1972 today, looks very authentic, I got it from a Flea Market, so I'm sure it's got some history. Should I play with it?

i used to have the game on a cd and my friend and i played it on the computer once. we got a response but i think it was my friend moving it. one day i was playing it alone but my sister came out of her room and i didnt wanna get caught playing it cause she'd make fun of me. so i got out of it. we were home alone and the tv was off. she came by me to talk for a bit and was walking off when we both heard some voice. she asked if i said something and i said no. the voice sounded evil to me and it sounded like a man. i remember it sounded like it was just a foot away and like it sounded like it was higher in the air. it scared the crap out of me to say the least. if you're gonna play with it just make sure you don't ever let this stuff get to you. don't ever believe in spirits or any of that cause once you do you're gonna have all kinds of scary crap happening. and it may not be real but you'll think its real cause you'll believe it. it's boring to play alone by the way. if you're gonna be scared or something i think if you like put a circle of chalk around you that supposedly keeps the demons from getting out or protects you? i really dont remember. my friend was really into this stuff.

I wouldn't. I've had certain events happen in my life that are unexplainable and border on the supernatural. Prior to these events I was a skeptic and thought anything supernatural was a lot of hogwash. Now I don't know what to think ... so just to be on the safe side, I stay away from anything "supernatural". I've also heard that playing with a Ouija board is like playing with fire - you don't know what you are inviting into your life. Why don't you do a little research first, it's fascinating stuff and you'll learn a lot and the more you know the better - then make up your own mind.

You asked "should I play with it?" The key word is "play" - so yes - PLAY with it. So many of the answers thus far say NO - but they are all based on fear. I mean come on, Ouija is a trademark for a talking board currently sold by Parker Brothers. A game company - the same guys who make Monopoly!! You're only in this life once - live, love, enjoy. And be respectful if spirits reach out to you. Have fun!

Hell No! You should not play with the Ouija Board. My husband does a lot of paranormal investigations & finds that the majority of "new" hauntings comes from the Ouija Board. I have a story for you; one holiday we were looking for some new board games to play with the family & I had seen the Ouija board. They were in the upright position displayed on the shelf & I went to grab one & my Husband yelled "do not touch that thing"! Before I reached my hand up for one, it fell off the shelf. Needless to say he didn't let me pick it up to put it back...... Be careful, it could be very dangerous.

Depends on your beliefs. I have used them and they can be bad. The Ouija board is sold as a game but using it is dabbling in the super natural, witch craft sort of thing. If you use it please do so with caution and be prepared to deal with what may come up with that board.

i would not play with it myself at all...i do not believe in messing with things like that anyway...but i have heard a lot of things about ouija boards and i do not think you would want to take a chance...i would not anyway....

NO!!!!!!!! Throw it out-----------Better yet, burn it in a fireplace!
It's been known to cause problems, there was a Documentary on this! People have actually gotten possessed! Don't even TRY to mess with it, the thing is EVIL! ask anyone!!!!!!
We had one as kids and my brother ended up burning it in our fireplace, when we got older and he turned Christian.
I'm NOT kidding either! Don't RISK it!

If you have any gullible friends, you can flip 'em out by gently moving the pointer.
And don't worry -- Anyone who thinks a sheet of cardboard and piece of plastic have magical powers deserves to be the butt of jokes.
