Why are some older women threatened by young smart women?
For example, an older woman accused a good looking man of writing a love letter to a younger woman. In this case,the younger woman is richer, smarter and more talented than the older woman.

In this case, the older woman wanted to get rude and cruel with words to hurt the younger woman.

I guess in this case, the older woman is scared that the good looking male will dump her for the younger, richer and smarter woman. I guess the older woman likes the male and thinks she will get dumped over looks? What do you think?

Your example needs clariying..was the women with the man, as in married or something and he sent a letter to another girl?..anyways....
I would say it would be the same reason some older men are threatened by younger men...Fresher..younger..stronger..more virle..as people age it is normal to refelct on what was.... But i don't think people focus on ageing so much..here is a wealth of knowledge and interest..and a deep sexyness that many older people have that no younger person will ever understand or get..until they are older.
and frankly..no one wants to know they are being pushed aside for someone else..no matter what the age!

I'm 43 and can care less about younger or richer! Since when does money gage a persons worth? People still are thinking this way??????? This is the year 2006-07! Youth cannot and and never will take the place of wisdom EVER! Spiritual people can see that a mile away but I guess things are very different the the material world. To be threatened by anything shows signs of insecurity. Wisdom cannot ever be bought or born with, it must be acquired through life lessons. Money-who cares about it? It does not buy happiness and some day through wisdom you will figure that out but since you can't buy that wisdom you'll have to figure it out through life itself, beauty will not get wisdom for you either. Wow, how can someone live in a superficial world like your talking about? Its so foreign sounding. We must be going back in time on the evolutionary scale to barbaric Roman times after reading this!

In this example as an older man I would go for the smarter richer younger woman

Hmmmm? Sounds like you are the young woman who wants someone who has been attached to an older woman. Is she not allowed to be angry that you went after her man (husband, boyfriend???) Don't worry, dear, she will get over him, but he on the other hand will probably get over you!

I don't find myself intimidated by younger woman.
Like myself, we all had our days of being youthful and we ALL age.
I take good care of myself and being over 40, I'm very content in my own skin.
